Your health destiny is in your hands.

Remember the acronym DESTINY:

Diet

Exercise

Sleep, Spiritual, Stress reduction, Screening, and Safety

Toxin Reduction

Intimate Relationships, or family and friends

Nature

Yodeling, or do something fun :)

All aspects must be addressed, like the spokes on a wheel. Blessings for a smooth ride!

If you find you need improvement in some areas, pick one area to focus on at a time. Baby steps. Check out the book Atomic Habits by James Clear.

DIET

According to the "Blue Zones" and the people that live the longest, they eat mostly whole food plant-based (WFPB). Consider watching the documentary, "Forks Over Knives", and every man in America should watch "Game Changers" ;) Check out nutritionfacts.org and the books "How Not to Die" and "In Defense of Food". Check out the smartphone app: "Daily Dozen Dr. Greger's Daily Dozen". Consider trying the diet for a month or two and see if it works for you. Could also consider "Whole30". Avoid sweets - check out "Sugar: The Bitter Truth" on Youtube and "That Sugar Film" on Amazon Prime.

EXERCISE

150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise or 75 minutes of high-intensity exercise per week, spaced out however you'd like. Weight training 2-3x/week. Stretching. May consider baths in Epsom salts (if no contraindications), BCAA powder & arnica montana homeopathy after workouts to lessen post-workout pains.

SLEEP

7-9 hours per night. Sleep books: "Sleep Smarter", "Why We Sleep", and "Sleep Revolution".

SPIRITUAL

Pray, read scriptures, connect to your higher power, attend church, commune with nature... do whatever works for you. You're always welcome to come to church with me if you'd like! ;)

STRESS REDUCTION

See handout attachments found under "Labs & Documents" under Handouts in your portal. Options are many: deep breathing, meditation, prayer, reading, coloring, gardening, yoga, Heartmath, massage, tai chi, qi gong, visualization, etc.

If you’ve suffered trauma/abuse, please get help. Therapies that address the conscious and subconscious mind are both helpful. Books: "The Body Keeps the Score", "The Emotion Code".

SCREENING

You should get screened for various diseases at appropriate intervals. Though this is called "preventative medicine", it does not prevent anything, but early detection is helpful. See the USPSTF website:

https://www.uspreventiveservicestaskforce.org/uspstf/topic_search_results?searchterm=

SAFETY

Be careful with your human body; you only get one. Use seatbelts and helmets. Use caution around water and matches. Look into a personal self-defense class and defensive driving class.

TOXIN REDUCTION

Toxins are everywhere, reduce where you can! Quit tobacco/vaping. Check out EWG.com. Eat organic, filter your water, avoid extra EMF, etc. One resource is "The Toxin Solution" by Joseph Pizzorno.

INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS

Friends, family, loved ones, even pets - spend time with them. Nurture relationships.

NATURE

Sunshine, fresh air, clean water, earthing/grounding. Just take time to commune with nature.

YODELLING

Or just do something fun! Hobbies, travel, etc. Though I'm sure yodeling probably has some great health benefits!

*More info on Arnica montana - great for bruises, swelling, sprains, strains, after a hard workout (take with BCAA powder drink), concussion, surgeries, car accident, etc. Use as directed ASAP after injury. We sell Boiron's here. I buy Hyland's 30x 3-pack on Amazon for about $20. I carry it with me everywhere I go in my EDC (My Every Day Carry).

In relationships and life, it helps to "Know Thyself" and know that others are not like you. We each have our own strengths and weaknesses, all needed in the tapestry of society. My favorite "Know Thyself" books:
